Thanks to Stephanie for this Frugal Baby Tip!
Corinna asked:
Well speaking of stains, I have a question. I recently made a trade for an Aristocrat and it's got stains inside. I was forewarned about them and don't really mind them, but was wondering if there was anything I could do to get them out. The owner said they were pee stains, but they look like they could be poop too. Like I said it's only on the inside so no biggie, just curious.
Stephanie answered:
Try these two things, but do not do them together or as someone else discovered, you will get a vibrant yellow spot where the hydrogen peroxide was.
First, pour some hydrogen peroxide on the stains, let it set for say 1/2 day and then wash as usual.
Second, wash as usual (without the hydrogen peroxide) and turn inside out and leave in the sun. Contrary to what someone said on this list a month or so ago, the sun does no more harm to wool than it does to cotton.
Since pee and poop are both organic, this should at least lighten the stain. Several sunnings may be all that is needed. Recent Keyword Searches: cloth diapers listerine, frugal mom natural baby wipes, how to make baby wipes covers, tips on washing baby clothes, frugal baby
