Thanks to Ness for this Frugal Baby Tip!
I got this one off of www.wildroots.com, but I don't remember how I got there.
I partly kept it because so many of the women that make their own wipes had a problem with mold.
Anti-fungal Baby Wipes
1/2 cu distilled water
1/4 cu vinegar
1/4 cu aloe vera gel
1 TBPS calendula oil
1 drop lavender essential
1 drop tea tree oil
Shake in a jar and pour over wipes to moisten. Store remainder in fridge.
Now, the sad part is, I can't tell you where to get the ingredients or how well it works (or not) because my daughter doesn't use wipes anymore and the next one's still in the oven.
And before I try to buy these things, I'll probably try the one that calls for equal parts baby wash, baby oil and water. At least I think that's how it goes. Some people keep this in a bottle, shake it, squirt the wipe, and then clean away. Having a separate bottle is a good way (so
they say) of keeping the mold away.
