Thanks to Debi Zahn for this Frugal Baby Tip!

I thought I'd write in and tell you about my new experiment. I use receiving blankets as my diapers. My 23 month old son wakes up smelling like ammonia every morning, and with very wet skin. Thus my interest in Fuzzi Bunz. But we started using cloth diapers for financial reasons, and Fuzzi Bunz are very cost prohibitive for us. So, I made a sleeve out of fleece from WalMart. I made it about 4.5 inches wide, and a bit shorter than my Velcro covers. I stuff a folded up receiving blanket inside of it, then just place it in the cover. It worked great!!!!!!!!

Most of my covers are pull-on, so I'm going to try something a little different for these. I'm going to cut 2 pieces of fleece to the shape of a disposable, then line with my receiving blanket "soaker", making a sandwich. I'll pin these where the tabs would be on a disposable. Then I can use the pull on covers :) I might sew these together (the 2 pieces of fleece, leaving a spot to stuff the soaker), or I might not.

Just thought I'd pass my "frugal" ideas on!
